Tahoe Casino Express increases trips

The Tahoe Casino Express increased its number of round trips to and from the Reno/Tahoe International Airport Monday, marking an end to a shoulder season that saw a slumping economy and terrorist attacks that put a dent in tourism and travel.

The shuttle increased from nine to 14 its daily round trips between the Stateline casinos and the airport. The price is now $34 per person. The one-way fare is $19.

South Shore residents who can prove residency or employment receive a $5 discount, making the one-way fare $14 per rider, an increase of $2.

Pickup locations for the Tahoe Casino Express include the Horizon Casino Resort, Harveys Resort Casino, Harrah’s Lake Tahoe, Caesars Tahoe, the Lakeside Inn & Casino and Embassy Suites Resort.

The first shuttle from the casino corridor departs at 6:15 a.m. The last arrival is at 12:15 a.m.

Tickets may be purchased at participating resorts or at the Tahoe Welcome Center at the airport.
