Tahoe Christian Singles resume Friday meetings

Provided to the Tribune

Tahoe Christian Singles are back on schedule. Meeting every Friday, this group started in October and has been going strong since. In April, the group took a short recess while the founder, David and Susie Meier, moved to their newly purchased home near the “Y.”

Tahoe Christian Singles is an interdenominational gathering of mostly single adults ranging from age 21 to the mid-70s. Their fellowship has been so well received that several married couples have chosen to attend, also. More than 30 to 35 singles in South Lake Tahoe take part in meetings, but the average is about 15 to 20 every Friday.

The meetings begin at 6 p.m. with a sit-down dinner, followed by singing and an interactive time in the Scripture. At 8 p.m. the group usually listens to a tape on relationship building or enhancement until 9 p.m. Those who linger afterward stay for clean-up and a time of fellowship.
