Tahoe City’s Bahrke to replace Olympic aerialist
VANCOUVER, British Columbia – Freestyle skier Scotty Bahrke of Tahoe City will take the place of Dylan Ferguson on the U.S. aerials team after Ferguson had complications from a recent appendectomy.
Bahrke, the brother of moguls bronze medalist Shannon Bahrke, was added to the team Wednesday. Men’s qualifying for aerials is Monday.
Ferguson had an appendectomy on Feb. 3 and was expected to travel with the team to Vancouver. An infection, however, forced him to stay behind.
