Tahoe couple married in Europe

Justin Wallin and Melia Herredea were married at noon July 1 in Rome, Italy.

The bridegroom is the son of Sandy Wallin of Virginia City, Nev., and Jeff Wallin of Washington, D.C. He is also the grandson of Tom and Bonnie Woizeski of Stateline, Nev., and Vera Wallin of Washington, D.C.

Wallin graduated in 1990 from George Whittell High School, Zephyr Cove, Nev. He received his undergraduate degree at Whittier College in Southern California and his masters in business and marketing at the University of Southern California. He currently is employed by Gateway in Southern California.

The bride is the daughter of John and Guti Herredea of Romania and Orange, Calif. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Irvine, and her masters from Columbia University. She currently is working toward her Ph.D. in clinical psychology at Pepperdine in Southern California.

The bride and bridegroom enjoyed a honeymoon in Venice and Rome, Italy, before returning to their home in San Clemente, Calif.

A wedding reception and open house was held July 20 in Virginia City at the bridegroom’s mothers home, followed by a dinner and western entertainment at the Tyson Ranch in Virginia City. Family and friends enjoyed an afternoon and evening festing the newly married couple.
