Tahoe couple plans Iowa wedding

Marla Handsacker and Byron Turk, both of South Lake Tahoe, will exchange wedding vows Sept. 29 at Colo Methodist Church, Colo, Iowa.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Handsacker of Colo. She is a graduate of Colo High School, North Iowa Area Community College at Mason City, Iowa, and University of the State of New York Regents College. A registered nurse at Barton Memorial Hospital, she also is employed at Dialysis Clinic, Inc., Carson City, Nev.

The future bridegroom is the son of Donavan Turk and Edie Turk of Tulare, Calif. He graduated from Tulare Union High School and received a degree in agriculture from College of the Sequoias, Visalia, Calif. He is a firefighter with the city of South Lake Tahoe.
