Tahoe Daily Tribune: In the works for Thursday
August 13, 2008
Here’s what you’ll find in Thursday’s issue of the Tahoe Daily Tribune:
The Lake Tahoe Unified School Board approved funding to create construction documents to receive their $15.4 million in grants on Tuesday.
To receive the matching funds, the district must submit plans to the Department of State Architect before the Measure G bond election.
Upon first glance, the small mountain communities at the South Shore of Lake Tahoe may seem quaint, quiet and innocent. However, ask any local and they will tell you there is more then meets the eye to these mountain towns.
While the Tribune celebrates its 50th year of operation, local readers have been privy to some of the most unusual crime stories of the nation. In fact, for such a small town, it’s amazing how often news make it past the Basin walls.
