Tahoe Dance Band performs for seniors

Tahoe Daily Tribune Staff Reports

Tahoe is fortunate to have a wonderful seven-piece band to entertain and provide the opportunity to dance at least once a month at South Lake Tahoe. The Tahoe Dance Band is really special. The band features many professional and talented musicians who play everyone’s favorite pieces. Everyone is invited to attend their dances.

People who haven’t attended any of their dances should make it a point to go. The dances take place from 8 to 10:30 p.m. the last Friday of each month at the South Lake Tahoe Senior Center, 3050 Lake Tahoe Blvd. The next one is scheduled April 30. It is not necessary to have a partner. There are usually quite a few people who come by themselves – some just to listen and others to dance with those they meet there.

In addition, there is a great variety of refreshments including wine, ice water, coffee, cheese, crackers and homemade pastries that are delicious. The cost is only $6 for admission, refreshments and a chance to win a door prize. There are also some good raffle prizes to win and take home.

Come enjoy the music, dance if you feel like it, socialize and meet new people. It’s good exercise and fun.
