Tahoe Derby Dames hosts egg fundraiser

Provided to the Tribune

Tahoe Derby Dames will be “Egg’n'” people’s houses March 25 through April 7 as part of its EggCellent Fundraiser for its flat track roller derby team.

For a $20 donation, the Dames will place 25 green, plastic eggs on lawns and porches throughout South Lake Tahoe; for $15, they will put 15 eggs on someone’s desk. Eggs contain freebies, discounts, coupons and other items from local businesses. Some recipients will win gift certificates or other prizes. Funds will help pay for indoor practice facility fees, travel costs and uniforms.

Those who don’t want to be egged can purchase anti-egg’n eggsurance for $10 to ensure their house doesn’t get egg’d.

Participating businesses include: Meeks, Beach Hut, Overlands Meat and Seafood Co, Pet Station, Fox and Hound, Rubicon Heating, Safe Haven Chiropractic, Kahle Community Center, The Skatehouse, eFit and Sports, Fasta Pasta, Technical Equipment Cleaners, Sock City, Jazz Cafe, Barton, Safeway, Escobar, Tails and Trails, Hard Rock Cafe, Grand Central Station Pizza, Tahoe Hemp Co., Dr. Salm Advanced Cosmetic Surgery and Dermatology, Mecca Salon SLT Recreation Center, SLT Ice rink, Humane Society and Pronto Pizza and Rude Brothers.
