Tahoe-Douglas Elks planning 2012 events

Tahoe-Douglas Elks Lodge #2670 has several fun fundraisers planned in January and February. Some need early reservations, so make plans soon.

The Lodg is located at 1227 Kimmerling Road, Gardnerville.

Elks Annual Crab Feed

The Elks’ annual All You Can Eat Crab Feed will take place Jan. 20 at the Lodge. The meal includes dungeness crab, clam chowder, shrimp, salad and garlic bread. Cocktail hour starts at 5 p.m. with dinner at 6 p.m.

Reservations and payment must be made by Jan. 10. Call 775-267-9205 or 775-782-6625. No tickets will be sold at the door.

Elks Breakfast

A Sunday breakfast will take place 8:30-11 a.m. Jan. 22 at the Lodge. Choice of pancakes, eggs/omelet, sausage, juice and coffee. $6 adults, $3 children. For more information, call 265-4523.

Elks Taco Night

Taco night is 5-7 p.m., Jan. 26 at the Lodge. Tacos are $1.50 each. For more information, call 265-4523.

Elks ’50s Sock Hop

A sock hop with dinner, program and live music is planned for Feb. 11 to raise funds for Project Safe Haven, a statewide Emergency Shelter Care Program for abused and neglected children in Nevada. This is a joint project between the Nevada State Elks and the Nevada State Division of Child and Family Services.

Come and help the Elks support this much needed program. The donation is $15 per person and tickets must be purchased no later than Feb. 6. For more information and tickets, please call Toni Wendt at 265-6136.
