Tahoe incumbent files for Douglas school board

Staff report

The most successful school board candidate never to take office is back.

Douglas High School government teacher Randy Green mounted a successful run for school board in 2000, but a judge ruled he couldn’t be both a teacher and a school board member.

Green, 56, is retiring from the school district this year. So far, Green is the only candidate in Area 4.

With the opening of the third day of filing, residents have filed for four of five school board seats and no race has developed.

Charles Harlan Swanson, 63, has filed for School Board Area 1.

Incumbents Cindy Trigg, 53, of Zephyr Cove and Teri Jamin, 54, of Gardnerville filed on Monday. Only School Board Area 4 is left without a candidate.
