Tahoe men arrested on rape charges involving 7-year-old

Staff report

Two Kings Beach men are in jail following a two-month investigation into the sexual assault of a 7-year-old girl.

Jesus Dominguez Rodriguez, 30, and Juan Dominguez Rodriguez, 27, were arrested at their Fox Street home Thursday morning on suspicion of aggravated sexual assault of a child, which carries a possible 15 years-to-life prison sentence.

While the assault took place more than three years ago, the incident was reported following an August medical exam of the Kings Beach girl. The investigation indicates that on two separate occasions in 2003, the suspects forcibly sexually assaulted the girl, according to sheriff’s office reports.

The suspects are known to both the girl and her family. Child protection investigators have been involved with the case since its report, and the girl remains with her family, said Placer County sheriff’s Capt. Karl Fulenwider.

Sheriff’s investigators presented results of the investigation to Superior Court Commissioner Trilla Bahrke, and she issued warrants for the arrest of both Jesus Dominguez Rodriguez and Juan Dominguez Rodriguez. Bail is set at $250,000 for each suspect.
