Tahoe Paradise Golf Course sees pair of hole-in-ones on same day July 29

MEYERS — A pair of golfers recorded aces on the links at Tahoe Paradise Golf Course during rounds played Friday, July 29. The hole-in-ones at the par-66 South Shore course both came on the back nine.

South Lake Tahoe’s Mel Sandoval recorded an ace on the par-3 17th hole Friday. His hole-in-one on the 144-yard hole came courtesy of a 4-hybrid.

Russ Borelli of Brentwood, California, hit a hole-in-one on the par-3 15th hole Friday. Borelli used a 52-degree wedge to ace the 127-yard hole.

Three days later, local Bryan Steele aced the 17th hole for the second hole-in-one there in a short stretch. The Tahoe Paradise men’s club member used an 8-iron to accomplish the feat Monday, Aug. 1.
