Tahoe Today: The law of attraction
The law of attraction is a very touchy subject for many, an airy fairy way of looking at life. I must admit, when I was younger I had many questions as well, being a psychic I question everything. When an event occurs to me that is profound, I question where it from. Was it telepathy? Was someone reading my mind? Is the information on the Internet? Believe me, I am just as skeptical as the next person and maybe even more so than you might expect.
I drive my husband nuts while watching a spiritual television show such as “Touch” on Fox.Com. I wonder how it is possible for one to manifest what they really want in life by just chanting and believing that it will occur, sspecially after reading “The Law of Attraction” by Jerry and Esther Hicks. I wonder, how can one person send out a single thought such as, “I need my place in Hawaii, rented out Aug. 12, 2012, for one week at full price with two wonderful nonsmoking, clean people?”
The theory goes, you chant your visualization for 68 seconds nonstop with emotion, feeling it, seeing it, knowing it, chanting out loud or in your head then let go of the thought, then move on to the next thought and, lo and behold, volia, there it is! I am astounded how it works each and every time.
I wonder, there are millions of people walking around planet Earth; how does that one single thought find its way to one or two people? Is it the string theory? Lo and behold, the next thing you know the phone is ringing off the wall, the lovely couple wants to rent your home on Aug. 12. How amazing is this?
It really works, be it a believer or non believer. Try the law of attraction. It truly works; at least, I know it works for real tangible things that you just might want or need. You will be amazed at the outcome. I still wonder how it works. I can drive my self nuts thinking about it.
Keep in mind you can’t go around chanting I just want a job; you have to be very specific and detailed about what you want. I don’t think it works for winning the lottery however I never have tried to manifest that, for I truly believe my gift would be lost if I did win. Then on the other side of the coin if I did win I could help thusands of homeless people so maybe I should change my thinking. No not really I’m to busy trying to figure this all out.
We attract so much negative and positive things in our life, then we wonder why our lives are so messed up. Example If I sit a a local bar everyday and drink I will manifest an alcholoic and when I bring him home have a relationship with him I wonder why he beat me.
Life really is so simple. I created the situation to begin with, if I went and hung out at a health food store I might get involved with someone healthy.
I do know that our thoughts produce things and consequences, once again I’m still trying to figure this all out.
My husbands favoriate line is “Dayle why can’t you just accept that you and you alone created this mess by your thoughts.”
I have to moniter every thought that I think about, is life really this simple?
I truly wonder.
