TahoeChamber to host economic forum

Provided to the Tribune

TahoeChamber and the Tahoe Prosperity Center will host the third in a series of economic forums Oct. 22 at Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel.

At the spring 2013 forum; 17 government, education, and business leaders painted a picture of projects currently underway or under consideration in South Lake Tahoe. These entities will share updates with the public on their progress. The forum will explore ideas including a music/entertainment venue, interpretive/discovery center, business incubator/innovation center and the pursuit of an Arts Identity for the South Shore. Attendees will learn what other communities have done to achieve these sorts of visions, including the public private partnerships necessary, and the finances behind getting them done. Attendees will have an opportunity to vote on which projects should be prioritized.

The forum will take place form 6-8 p.m. For more information, visit http://www.tahoehamber.org, call 775.588.1728 or email emily@tahoechamber.org.
