Tahoe’s 2-time Olympic champ Anderson gives birth to baby girl
SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. — South Lake Tahoe native and two-time Olympic snowboarding champion Jamie Anderson gave birth to a baby girl on Tuesday, March 21 at Barton Memorial Hospital.
Anderson, 32, made the announcement on social media through Instagram and the Tribune received the birth announcement from Barton.
“Misty Rose Nicholson 💜 Born through the most mystical storm we’ve ever experienced & the largest snowfall Tahoe has scene in 70 years…We are so in love and grateful for you Misty.”
Anderson and her fiancé, Canadien Olympic snowboarder Tyler Nicholson, announced on social media in December that Anderson was seven months pregnant.
Anderson won back-to-back Olympic gold medals in slopestyle at the Sochi Games in 2014 and then in 2018 at PyeongChang, South Korea.
She finished ninth in slopestyle at the 2022 Beijing Games.
