South Lake Tahoe’s Beach Retreat & Lodge will celebrate the end of summer in true Hawaiian fashion this weekend.

The lakefront lodge will present Luau at the Lake Sunday, Aug. 30.

A paid Hawaiian-themed dinner will be a highlight of the event, which will also offer a free performance that is open to the general public.

The dinner buffet will be served from 6-8 p.m. from a tent on the lake shore. Tickets for the buffet are $60 for adults and $30 for children. Adult tickets include two complimentary mai tais during luau, according to organizers.

The buffet menu is set to include kalua pork, lomi salmon, ahi poki, teriyaki chicken, white rice, fried rice, tossed salad, potato salad, macaroni salad, seasonal fruit, hapia dessert, pineapple upside-down cake and Hawaiian sweet bread.

A luau performance takes place from 7:30-8 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
