A Croatian guitarist who now calls the Lake Tahoe Basin home is set to play the Divided Sky in Meyers this Saturday, Nov. 28.
Wesley Orsolic specializes in rock, blues, funk and jazz.
“His unique playing style reflects his ability to successfully combine the elements of all these styles,” according to his online biography. “Wesley’s solo album, ‘Now And Then,’ was released in June 2006. It is a mixture of acoustic traditional and contemporary blues/pop and country.”
His latest album, “Carry On,” was released in April 2014. The album features Roger Smith (Tower of Power), Myron Dove (Santana), John Burr (The Joe Craven Trio) and Liz Broscoe, among others.
Orsolic has played guitar since the age of 6. He attended the Berklee School of Music and was invited to Los Angeles by Motown Records.
“From New York to Hawaii, as a player, songwriter or producer, Wesley always leaves a lasting impression,” according to the bio. “With his own band T.O.T., later called Raw Nature, Wesley moved from L.A. to Las Vegas to San Francisco and finally settled down in Lake Tahoe. Living at the Lake seems to provide him with the kind of radiating energy that inspires creativity.”
The Divided Sky is located near the intersection of U.S. Highway 50 and State Route 89 in Meyers.
