A Minneapolis, Minnesota, hip-hop group headlines a night of rap at Whiskey Dick’s Saloon Saturday, Nov. 14.

Die[Ode] has been together for more than a decade and counts Minnesota hip-hop label Rhymesayers Entertainment, as well both East Coast and West Coast rap, among its influences.

“After releasing multiple group and solo projects over the years, Die[Ode] has continued to create music on their own terms while priding themselves on originality and staying true to the fundamentals of hip hop,” according to the group’s online biography. “Never shy to branch out and take influences from all genres of music, Die[Ode] has built a strong and loyal fan base that understands the unique way these three Emcee’s meld as one. It’s rare in this day and age of music, where three Emcee’s with different styles, can come together and make it believable and refreshing at the same time.”

Reno hip-hop artist ZP Ratik also performs Saturday. He began making music in 2010 after being inspired by Eminem’s “Recovery” album. He lists Yelawolf, LL Cool J and MGK among his influences.

Sacramento’s Abernasty and Glass Tung are scheduled to play Saturday’s show, too.

Whiskey Dick’s Saloon is located at 2660 Lake Tahoe Blvd. in South Lake Tahoe.
