Tahoe Arts Project will present acclaimed Celtic trio Golden Bough at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Theresa Catholic Church. General admission seating begins at 6 p.m.
“Set sail for the land of freedom and opportunity in the spirited concert, America Bound, which pays homage to America’s Irish and Scottish roots, with songs and instrumental music,” according to a statement from organizers. “Trace a journey to the New World in rousing jigs and reels, haunting ballads and humorous melodies. Golden Bough captures the essence of America’s best-loved folk music, with an array of acoustic instruments and pristine three-part harmony. Sing along, clap along, or just sit back and enjoy, as Golden Bough blends Celtic harp, fiddle, guitar, accordion, penny-whistle, and bodhran with vocals for a lively Celtic-American evening.”
Tickets for the concert at St. Theresa are available at the door and cost $12 for adults, $5 for children and $10 for seniors. To charge tickets by phone, call 530-542-3632.
