The Associated Press

RENO – Running back Vai Taua (Vie Tau-uh) has become the latest Nevada player to accept an invitation to play in the Jan. 22 East-West Shrine Game in Orlando, Fla.

Taua joins two other teammates, tight end Virgil Green and defensive end Dontay Moch (Moke), as members of the West squad.

Nevada quarterback Colin Kaepernick has been invited to play in both the East-West Shrine Game and the Jan. 29 Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala.

Nevada spokesman Chad Hartley says Kaepernick will play in only one of the games and hasn’t decided which it’ll be.

Nevada, which finished the regular season with a 12-1 record, faces Boston College on Sunday in the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl in San Francisco.
