Testing for U.S. Census jobs set for this week

Testing for U.S. Census Bureau jobs will be held in South Lake Tahoe on Jan. 7, 8 and 14.

The U.S. Census Bureau is recruiting temporary, part-time census takers for the 2010 Census. These short-term jobs offer flexible hours, paid training and reimbursement for authorized work-related expenses, including mileage incurred while conducting census work.

Walk-ins are welcome until test time, space permitting.

The tests will be held:

• Thursday, 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., St. Theresa Catholic Church, Globin Hall, 1041 Lyons Ave.

• Friday, 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., U.S. Forest Service office, 35 College Drive.

• Thursday, Jan. 14, 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., St. Theresa Catholic Church, Globin Hall, 1041 Lyons Ave.
