Thanksgiving feast will feed hundreds

The community is invited to attend Bread and Broth’s 16th annual Thanksgiving Feast from 4 to 6 p.m. Nov. 22. The dinner will take place at St. Theresa Catholic Church on the corner of Lake Tahoe Boulevard and Lyons Avenue.

This is a free dinner with turkey and all the trimmings. The dinner is open to anyone, but is especially for people who will have only this opportunity for a Thanksgiving meal.

Bread and Broth has served thousands of meals a week since 1989.

This community program operates with local volunteer support and is funded solely through cash and food donations.

It has been a significant service to our community by providing a full dinner every Monday of the year to people who are struggling financially, those who live on a substandard fixed income, and to the homeless.

In addition to receiving a meal, there is usually food that the clients can take home.

The Thanksgiving feast traditionally serves from 300 to 600 people. If you need a free, wonderful Thanksgiving dinner, please join in.

If you would like to support Bread and Broth during this holiday season, drop your donations off at St. Theresa Church or mail to Bread and Broth, 1041 Lyons Ave., South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150.
