The CCC Wants to Wash Your Car

Tribune

In an effort to raise funds for the California Conservation Corps, corpsmembers will replace chainsaws and hard hats for sponges and shammies Saturday in front of the Shell station at the “Y.” The Car Wash will take place from 11a.m. to 4 p.m. for a $5 suggested donation. Environmentally friendly products will be used to ensure that both your car and and your conscience will leave sparkling clean. Bikes and other items are also welcome! All of the proceeds will go directly to the Tahoe Center CCC for much-needed supplies.

The CCC is the oldest, largest and longest-running youth conservation corps in the world. The Tahoe Center was established in 1988 to join the efforts of various land management agencies, non-profit groups, communities and citizens to restore the quality of the Lake Tahoe Basin watershed. Please stop by and make a contribution.
