The Traveling Spectacular brings music, magic and burlesque to Lake Tahoe
If you go ...
What: The Traveling Spectacular
When: Saturday, Aug. 25, 9 p.m.
Where: Crystal Bay Casino
Saturday won’t be your typical night of live entertainment at Crystal Bay Casino.
The North Shore venue plays host to The Traveling Spectacular, an act that bills itself as “a surrealist vaudeville experience inspired by the dreams and dust of a bygone age.”
The hour-long performance features live music by the Oddjob Ensemble, sword swallowing, fire breathing, dancing, vaudevillian comedy and illusions.
At the heart of the show is an artist who simply goes by Tobias.
“Tobias has been performing magic and circus arts since the age of eleven and was a longtime member of internationally touring rock and roll vaudeville troupe, The Yard Dogs Road Show,” states The Traveling Spectacular’s website. “For the past few years Tobias has combined his love of magic, circus and surrealism to build his own show, The Traveling Spectacular.”
The seated show, which takes place in the Crystal Bay Club Crown Room, starts at 9 p.m. While free to attend, guests must be 21 years of age or older to attend.
The casino will host a free after party following the show.
Crystal Bay Casino is located at 14 Nevada Route 28.
