Theory Of A Deadman on Saturday, Oct. 19, will headline Harrah’s Lake Tahoe at Stateline with special guest Spirit Animal.

Theory of A Deadman is a Canadian rock band that formed in 2001 and have created music from several different genres including country, post-grunge and acoustic but have always had rock-n-roll underlying most of their work.

The lyrics are correlated to social issues that are grappling our society today such as abuse, racism and divisiveness in American politics.

Their album “Wakeup Call” from 2017 contained the popular song Rx(Medicate) which addressed the opioid epidemic and had more than 250 million streams.

The multi-platinum band just released a new album-leading single called “History of Violence” which presents a clear image on domestic abuse. The single was released in October coinciding with Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The new single has been featured on most music platforms including Spotify and Apple Music and will be part of their seventh studio album “Say Nothing” which comes out Jan. 31.

The new music video for “History of Violence” details a woman suffering with domestic abuse from her husband.

Theory Of A Deadman has shown their support for the issue and urge people affected by domestic abuse to call the National Domestic Violence Hotline for help.

As a whole, the band has earned several platinum and gold singles, a platinum album, two Top 10 album debuts on the Billboard Top 200, and eight Top Tens on the Billboard Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks Chart.
