This week’s action: Tahoe welcomes Beach Boy, autumn flavors & Meyers Gear Swap
Tribune Managing Editor
It’s that spooky, fun time of year — when the days get shorter, Halloween candy lines grocery store shelves (tempting me … ), and ski areas prep for opening day.
Though South Lake Tahoe is deep into shoulder season, there’s still plenty to do. Here are three picks for the week:
1. TASTES OF AUTUMN
Fall means restaurants and coffee shops update their menus with pumpkin spice and other appropriate flavors. Check out your favorite haunts for these tasty flavors.
2. PET SOUNDS
Beach Boys’ Brian Wilson will perform at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe this Friday, Oct. 14. Tickets are $64.22.
3. GEAR SWAP
The third annual Meyers Outdoor Gear Swap is planned for Sunday, Oct. 16, in the Westgate Center parking lot next to Divided Sky. It will offer lots of lightly used gear at affordable prices, and —in part — it’s a fundraiser for Meyers Community Foundation.
