A memorial service for Thomas J. Martin, who died May 20 after a long battle with cancer, will be held at Our Lady Queen of Angels Church in Newport Beach, Calif., on May 26. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Rafael Luevano. Tom was 67.

Tom was born in Chicago in 1938. After graduating from the University of Notre Dame in 1960, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps for two years.

For the last nine years Tom has been retired, enjoying the beauty of Lake Tahoe with longtime Tahoe resident, Sue Fondren.

Tom Martin is survived by his daughters, Julie Kadlubowski of Colorado Springs, Colo., Molly Martin of West Hollywood, and Kelly Martin of San Pedro; his sons, Tom Martin Jr. of Los Angeles and Michael Martin of Redondo Beach; his stepson, Dr. Jim Fondren of Newport Beach; and his five grandchildren. Tom is also survived by the love of his live for the past 20 years, Sue Fondren of Stateline, Nev.

The family suggests that donations be made in Tom’s memory to the American Cancer Society or the charity of one’s choice.
