Thomas Robert Long

A celebration of life will take place Thursday for Thomas Robert Long, who died May 11, 2006, at Barton Memorial Hospital. He was 47.

Tom was born Sept. 26, 1959, and was a resident of South Lake Tahoe for more than 30 years. He was an avid golfer, NASCAR fan, snowmobiler, outdoor enthusiast, music lover and admirer of animals. His love and dedication to his family and friends was a living embodiment of an ideal brother, uncle, son and friend.

Tom is survived by his mother, Patricia Long; brother Doug Maselli; niece Shannon Johnson; nephew Dustin Singler; niece Camille Corder; niece Lauren Urbina and niece Sara Moretti and their families. Tom walked with grace in this world where his respected presence will be keenly missed.

A celebration of life is planned at 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Happy Homestead Cemetery. Friends and colleagues are encouraged to come and share their memories of Tom.
