"Emerald of the Sierra" is an example of silk art by Addie Chernus.
ALL |

Join teacher Addie Chernus, courtesy of the Tahoe Art League, to create your own silk scarf in a three-day workshop, Oct. 2 through Oct. 4, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Art Building, 3062 Lake Tahoe Blvd.

Addie will provide all the materials you need to create a beautiful, luxurious 15-by-60-inch charmeuse holiday scarf or frameable art. Your silk will be steam set by Addie.

All you have to do is bring: an apron, a dark-lined sketch of any image you want on the scarf (or two related images) measuring about 15 by 24 inches, photos or color swatches of colors you want to use, or clothing you want the scarf to go with.

Addie will have available drawings, finished scarves, background samples, photos of finished scarves and lots of ideas.

For Information, cost and reservations, please e-mail Addie at: addiesilkart@aol.com.
