Three women arrested on prostitution charges in Stateline; car vandalized with food

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Street Enforcement Team arrested three woman for allegedly soliciting or engaging in prostitution on Saturday, March 12, in Stateline.

DCSET has been investigating reports of prostitution in the area of the Stateline casinos, and investigators were at an undisclosed Stateline casino hotel room when an alleged escort arrived at the hotel room and was detained after offering sexual services for money, according to a press release from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

A 23 year old, 30 year old and 51 year old were subsequently arrested after it was determined they were associated with an escort service, according to the release.

The women were booked into Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Lake Tahoe Jail. Bail was set at $640 for each woman, according to the sheriff’s office.

About 6:20 p.m. on March 14 a 30-year-old Stateline woman flagged down a Douglas County sheriff’s deputy on Irwin Drive to report an unknown subject had thrown “five eggs, a peanut butter sandwich, hot dogs, tortillas and chicken nuggets” on her SUV the previous day, according to a deputy’s report. No damage was caused to the vehicle, but the woman told the deputy she wanted the incident documented.
