Tickets on sale for Dancing with the Tahoe Stars

One of the most popular local events of the year will return to South Shore in March.

Tahoe Arts Project (TAP) announced earlier this week that the sixth annual Dancing with the Tahoe Stars will take place Saturday, March 3, at the MontBleu Showroom.

Master of ceremonies for the evening will be Dreu Murin.

Ten locals will be paired with 10 dancers to perform various styles of dance including cha cha, tango, salsa, merengue, swing, disco, fox trot, bachata, hip hop and musical theater. The “stars” and “pros” for this special evening are: Melinda Choy and Gerzon Chaves; Michelle Feeney and Adrian Escobedo; Lauren Lindley and Spencer Spanton; Stacy Noyes and Dino Elias; Paula Peterson and Alex Kaskie; Shawn Butler and Catherine Arens; Bob Grant and Robyn Lindner; Dusty LaChapelle and Becca Lincoln; Leon Malmed and Alejandra Quirarte; Neil Powell and Jodi Patton.

The judges for the evening will be Marcia Sarosik, Don Bosson and Paul Middlebrook. There also will be special performances by the South Tahoe High School Dance Team, Marcia Sarosik Dance Studio, Forever Dance and previous “stars.”

As in previous years, the audience will have the opportunity to vote by text for their favorite couple. New this year, anyone can help determine the winner by donating to their favorite couple. Donations can be made anytime through TAP’s website tahoeartsproject.org.

Tickets range from $10-$60 and are available online at tahoeartsproject.tix.com or by calling 530-541-0353.
