Timothy Sean Maloney

A gathering of family and friends will take place from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sept. 4 at the family home in Gardnerville, Nev., for Timothy Sean Maloney, who died of cancer Aug. 18, 2004. He was 48.

Timothy was born March 25, 1956, at Kansas City, Mo. He had been operations manager for Capital Beverage for the past 11 years. Prior to that he had worked at Nor-Cal Beverage at South Lake Tahoe for 14 years. A very civic-minded person, Timothy had volunteered for the Douglas County 4-H program for seven years and was instructor for the Happy Heelers Club. He was an avid NASCAR fan and competed at Champion Motor Speedway in the Hustlin’ Hornets Division for the past two years.

He is survived by his wife, Angi of Gardnerville; stepson and his wife, Aaron and Alice Schmalenberger, and grandson, Casey Bartevian of South Lake Tahoe; stepdaughter, Nina Schmalenberger of Surprise, Ariz.; mother, Jeanne Maloney of Shawnee, Kan.; brothers, Terry of Overland Park, Kan., and Mike of Kansas City, Mo.; and dogs Viper, Voodoo and Villain.
