TOCCATA begins 5th anniversary season

The Orchestra and Community Choral Artists of the Tahoe Area, known as TOCCATA , will launch its fifth anniversary season with the “Barocco con Cocoa” concert series featuring the TOCCATA chamber orchestra, chorus and soloists.

Featured soloists include violinists Ruth Lenz and Andrew Sords performing concertos of Bach and Vivaldi. The chorus will present selections from Charpentier’s Midnight Mass. Hot cocoa will be available during intermission.

Performances are Saturday, Jan. 16, at 7:30 p.m. at Cal Neva Resort in Crystal Bay; Sunday, Jan. 17, at 3 p.m. at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in South Lake Tahoe; Monday, Jan. 18, at 3 p.m. in the Squaw Valley Chapel; and Tuesday, Jan. 19, at 7:30 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal in Reno.

Admission at the door is $20 adults, $15 seniors, $5 students and free for children 12 and under. Preferred seating is $35. This season is supported by the Kling Family Foundation, Thorny Point Foundation and the Carol F. Buck Foundation.
