Topaz Ranch Estates residents are under a boil-water order after the general improvement district had a water line break on Sunday evening.

District customers should boil water coming through pipes for all drinking, cooking and other consumption, such as brushing teeth.

While water service was restored on Sunday night, the break may have allowed bacteria to enter the lines while they were open. The boil water order is in effect until further notice.

District employees are working to correct the problem.

Residents who get their water from individual wells should not be affected by the break.
