‘Trout on Tour’ rolls into South Lake Tahoe today

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – A 1,400 mile bike ride to raise awareness about the challenges facing California’s native fisheries will stop at California Trout’s South Lake Tahoe office on Aug. 25.

Shannon Moon, California Trout’s outreach manager, will be joined by various partners on the bike ride, which began in Mammoth Lakes on Monday.

The ride will continue north along the eastern portion of the state before moving west and traveling south along the coast of California until Sept. 28.

“There is an urgent message for us in these failing fisheries: the fresh water which feeds our families and our economy is at great risk, and we need to go to extreme measures to get the word out,” according to a statement form California Trout.

California Trout’s South Lake Tahoe office is located at 870 Emerald Bay Road.
