TRPA to conduct Tahoe travel survey

STATELINE – The Tahoe Regional Planning Agency is sending a team of interviewers around the Tahoe Basin to survey visitors and residents about travel options.

Questioners will wear badges and patrol 19 commercial and 23 recreational sites.

The surveys will begin Feb. 22 and continue through March 1.

Officials say the results will be used to plan transportation needs and alternatives. The TRPA is expected to adopt a new regional transportation plan next year.

The Travel Mode Survey is being conducted by NuStats, an independent, accredited survey research company.
