Two survive motorcycle accident
Two motorcycle riders were taken by helicopter to a hospital after being ejected from the bike when the driver took a turn too fast, the Nevada Highway Patrol reported.
At 6:30 p.m. Sunday, David Bechtrol was driving westbound on Highway 50 on Spooner Summit when he lost control of his 2001 Suzuki motorcycle around a right turn, Trooper Pat McGill said.
Bechtrol, 32, from Virginia Beach, Va., was ejected after the bike skidded 125 feet. The passenger, Tammy Lee Bookout, 21, from Wilkes-Barre, Pa., was also thrown from the vehicle.
The Suzuki came to a rest against the concrete median.
Both riders were flown to Washoe Medical Center where they were treated for multiple cuts and released, McGill said.
