Two women found dead in burned house in Placerville

Two women died in a Placerville house fire Friday morning, according to the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office.

The fire on the 1600 block of Rose Lane was reported to be on fire at about 5:48 a.m.

El Dorado County Fire responded and extinguished the blaze that mostly destroyed the home. Two adult women were found deceased inside.



An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the fire and the cause of the women’s deaths. At this time, the victims have not been identified.
