Unity Easter service to feature white stone ceremony

Unity at the Lake will include a traditional white stone ceremony during its Easter Sunday service from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the South Lake Tahoe Senior Center, 3050 Lake Tahoe Blvd. Meditation begins at 9 a.m.

This white stone tradition is based on Revelation 2:17: “… To everyone who conquers I will give a white stone, and on the white stone is written a new name that no one knows except the one who receives it.” Symbolically, this means all can acknowledge their journey to this point and know they have a clean slate.

After some prayerful reflection, participants will claim a “new name,” a new intention or inspiration to live more fully, consciously and joyfully in spirit.

The service will feature special music from OneVoice, Youth Empowerment program and child care.
