University Women meeting at library
The South Lake Tahoe branch of the American Association of University Women will meet Oct. 10 at the South Lake Tahoe Branch Library, 1000 Rufus Allen Blvd. The meeting is open to all AAUW members and women interested in AAUW.
Todd Crawford, director of emergency services for El Dorado County, will speak on being prepared for emergencies. The program starts at 5:30 p.m. and includes a lasagna dinner for $9. For reservations and more information call (530) 577-7735.

El Dorado County suspends use of J&J vaccine; South Tahoe clinic not impacted
SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. — El Dorado County officials are suspending use of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, but that will not impact the vaccination clinic being held Sunday and Monday in South Lake Tahoe.
