Update 4:15 p.m.: Chain controls required at all mountain passes to Tahoe

Here are the latest road conditions and chain controls as of 4:15 p.m. Thursday:

Highway 50: – Chains mandatory for 18.1 miles between 3.5 miles east of Kyburz, Calif., and 4.1 miles west of Junction of California State Route 89.

Note: Snowtires or chains required for 6.2 miles between 0.5 miles west of Glenbrook and 6.9 miles west of Junction US 395 at South Carson City.

State Route 207 Kingsbury Grade: Snowtires or chains required for 4.8 miles between Junction U.S. 50 and 6.5 miles west of Junction State Route 206.

State Route 28: Snowtires or chains required for 7.8 miles between Junction US 50 and 8.3 miles south of California state line.

State Route 88: Snowtires or chains required for 25 miles between 6.7 miles east of Hams Station Calif., and 6.7 miles west of Junction State Route 89 at Picketts Junction.

State Route 89: Chains mandatory for 2 miles between Bliss State Park and 2 miles north of Bliss State Park.

State Route 431: Snowtires or chains required for 14.2 miles between Junction State Route 28 and 10.3 miles south of Junction US 395.

State Highway 267: Snowtires or chains required for 6.7 miles between Northstar and Junction California 28 at Kings Beach.

Interstate 80: Chains mandatory for 35.1 miles between Drum California Exit 150 and Central Truckee Exit 186.
