Traffic flowing on US 50 following semi truck crash

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, CALIF. — U.S. Highway 50 was closed to westbound traffic for a couple hours Monday morning after a big rig hauling wood chips overturned.
The crash happened just east of the Y intersection at California Route 89/Emerald Bay Road.
The wood chips took several hours to clean up.
Caltrans reported the road was completely open and traffic was moving smoothly again in the early afternoon.
