Vail employees volunteer in communities around Lake Tahoe

About 300 employees from Heavenly and Kirkwood mountain resorts and Northstar California volunteered to work in communities around Lake Tahoe as part of Vail Resorts' 10th annual EpicPromise week.

About 300 employees from Heavenly and Kirkwood mountain resorts and Northstar California volunteered around the Lake Tahoe area for EpicPromise Week.

The volunteers worked with community programs focused on youth, education and the environment as part of the 10th annual event.

Heavenly employees worked with the University’s Cooperative Extension facility and Sierra House Elementary School to help build fences, landscape flowers beds, and remove green waste among other things.



Kirkwood employees did trail work and painted cabins at Two Sentinels Girl Scout Camp at Kirkwood Lake.

Northstar employees helped restore the historic Old Highway 40 China Wall on Donner Pass as well as trail and stair construction with Truckee Trails and U.S. Forest Service.



EpicPromise is Vail Resorts’ mission to protect the environment, ignite passion for the outdoors and support local communities.

Over 2,000 Vail employees around the country participated in the volunteer day.
