LAKE TAHOE – Vail Resorts announced today their 2011/2012 season pass options for Heavenly Mountain Resort and Northstar-At-Tahoe Resort.

At the top of the pricing tier, Vail Resorts will offer the Epic Pass ($649 adult/$329 child) that allows unlimited access to all Vail properties throughout California and Colorado, including Heavenly and Northstar-At-Tahoe Resort. The Epic Local Pass ($499 adult/$379 teen/$249 child) also provides access to all seven Vail mountains, but is restricted on major holidays. The Tahoe Value Pass ($379 adult/$299 teen and senior/$179 child) will give skiers and riders seven-day-a-week access to Heavenly and Sunday through Friday access to Northstar Resort.

Heavenly did consider keeping Sierra-At-Tahoe Resort on the pass, but the deal didn’t work for either parent company, said Russ Pecoraro, a spokesman for Heavenly. Sierra would not comment on their exclusion from the Vail pass options and would not hint at other partnerships.

“We are excited about the products that are being developed for next season,” said Steve Hemphill, a spokesman for Sierra.

Sierra’s pass options are expected by the end of March. Kirkwood’s 2011/2012 season pass information will be released on March 27.
