The songs of county great Patsy Cline come to the Valhalla Boathouse Theatre this week.

A Tribute to the Music of Patsy Cline starring Joni Morris takes place at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, at the Valhalla Boathouse Theatre.

“Joni’s performance is a solid one, saturated with authentic sound, personality and true showmanship,” according to a description on the Valhalla Art, Music and Theatre Festival’s website. “The audience is transported back to the Golden Years of the late 50’s and early 60’s when the glamour girl of country captivated fans with a soul-stirring voice and a flamboyant personality. They enjoy songs like ‘Crazy,’ ‘Sweet Dreams,’ ‘I Fall to Pieces,’ ‘Walkin’ After Midnight,’ and ‘She’s Got You.’ She sings each song brilliantly, adding dazzling costumes and comedy, too. However, nothing shines so bright as her ability to connect with her audience. She works the crowd better than a Las Vegas crooner. Her audience interaction wins her fans wherever she performs.”

Also at the festival this week is the play “Hamlet, Russians and Monkeys,” children’s art classes by Gina Stowell and artists in residence Bonita Gohler and Kaaren Krueger.

Parking at Valhalla is limited. When the parking lot is full, people are directed to park in the lot on State Route 89 and walk in.

Valhalla is located off State Route 89 just west of Camp Richardson.
