Vikings’ baseball game canceled; softball game moved to Monday

Several inches of snowfall and cold temperatures on Wednesday canceled South Tahoe High’s opener of a three-game series with North Valleys set for Thursday at Todd Fields.

Plans are for the teams to play a scheduled doubleheader on Saturday in South Lake Tahoe. First pitch is at 11 a.m.

Meanwhile, the South Tahoe softball team’s scheduled game with Wooster on Thursday in South Lake Tahoe has been postponed until Monday. The Colts and Vikings will start a three-game series with a doubleheader on Saturday at Todd Fields. The opening pitch is at 10 a.m.

The school’s junior varsity teams will play on identical days as the varsity clubs but on the road.

South Tahoe’s JV softball squad will play a doubleheader at Wooster on Saturday and a single game against the Colts on Monday in Reno. The JV baseball team’s home game against Hug scheduled for Thursday has been canceled, but the teams will get together for two games at 11 a.m. Saturday in Reno.
