Vikings finish fourth at Alhambra tournament

South Tahoe High’s wrestling team earned a fourth-place team trophy at the 34th annual Lawrence Miller Memorial Invitational on Saturday at Alhambra High in Martinez, Calif.

Placer of Auburn, Calif., captured the tournament championship with 166 points, with Aptos second at 157 1/2, Pittsburg third a 155 1/2 and South Tahoe fourth at 130.

A couple of the schools the Vikings finished ahead of were Archbishop of San Jose and defending champion and host Alhambra.

The Vikings are scheduled to compete in the Fernley Tournament on Friday and Saturday.
