Vivian Catera of Sparks, Nev., died July 21, 2004, at her home. She was born July 1, 1919, in San Francisco, Calif.
Vivian and her husband, Joe, were longtime South Lake Tahoe residents, moving from Oakland, Calif., in 1958. They owned Tahoe Bowl, Cue Billiards, Tahoe Travel Agency and Playland Miniature Golf. Vivian was active in the St. Theresa Women’s Guild, Soroptimist International, Lady Lions and the Women’s International Bowling Congress.
She is survived by her daughter, Raylene Catera Jennings; grandsons, Michael Jennings of Palm Springs, Calif., Matthew Jennings of San Francisco; Eric Jennings and his wife, Erin, of Sparks; and great-grandchildren, Benjamin Jennings and Lauren Jennings of Sparks. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Catera in 1999.
A joint memorial service for Joe and Vivian will take place Aug. 6 at Sparks Christian Fellowship, 510 Greenbrae Ave., Sparks, NV 89431. In lieu of flowers contributions in their memory may be made to Sparks Christian Fellowship Building Fund.
