Volleyball favorites Walsh and May-Treanor win AVP women’s championship

The number one world ranked women’s volleyball team of Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh took top honors today in front of 1,600 spectatators at the AVP Lake Tahoe Best of the Beach Open at MontBleu Resort Casino and Spa.

The women defeated number two seeded Jennifer Boss and Rachel Wacholder, for the $30,000 grand prize.

On the men’s circuit, the second-seeded team of Phil Dalhausser and Todd Rogers defeated number four seeded Dax Holdren and Sean Scott in the men’s division. The winners also take home a purse of $30,000.
