Walton "Walt" Trevithick

Memorial services will take place Wednesday for Walton “Walt” Edward Trevithick, who died in a traffic accident July 19, 2005, at Lovelock, Nev. He was 69.

Walt was born May 26, 1936, at Silverton, Colo., and joined the U.S. Air Force when he was at 18. He was a technical sergeant and served in the military for approximately 25 years. A 26-year resident of South Lake Tahoe, he worked in Harrah’s mail room for 20 years before retiring. He was a member of American Legion Post 795 as well as the South Lake Tahoe Moose Lodge. Walt loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, elk hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Neva Ruth Trevithick of Blue Jay, Calif.; daughters, Kathryne Allec of South Lake Tahoe and Carolyne Trevithick of Sun Valley, Nev.; brother, John Trevithick of Blue Jay; step-children, Curtiss, Cynthia and Collete; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Memorial services will begin at 11 a.m. July 27 in the American Legion Post 795 parking area, 2748 Lake Tahoe Blvd. Private family inurnment will follow.
